William H. “Bill” McAllister Jr.

William H. “Bill” McAllister Jr. lost his 10-year battle with emphysema/ COPD on Sunday, April 29, 2018, at the age of 63. He was a fighter until the end. Born in Trenton, N.J., Bill was a lifelong resident of Morrisville. He was a 1972 graduate of Morrisville High School as well as Pennco Tech and Mercer Co. Tech School. He was a master plumber by trade and worked tirelessly every day until his health wouldn’t allow it any longer. Bill had a deep laugh, quick wit, and was a lover of all sports. He was a lifelong, diehard Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, and 76ers fan, so this was a great year indeed. Bill was also passionate about Sprint Cars, NASCAR and Slot car racing. He was a great fisherman as well. His greatest joy, though, was watching his son, Billy, play many years of soccer, graduate high school with honors, and excel at St. Joseph’s University, from where he will soon graduate.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William Sr. and Nancy L. (Sullivan) McAllister, and his mother-in-law, Marguerite P. (Dougherty) Hensor. Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 25 years, best friend, and true love, Karen (Hensor) McAllister; his cherished son, William “Billy” III and his dog, Rex; daughter, Kimberly; siblings, Jane Clark (Roger), Ginger McAllister-Yusko (Mick), Darrell McAllister (Gail), and Charles McAllister (Carol); sisters and brothers-in-law, Holly Cobb, Joyce Hagan (Mike), and Donna Hensor (Dino Finocchiaro); one of his biggest supporters, his father-in-law and friend, Morton “Skeets” Hensor; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5, at St. John the Evangelist Church, 752 Big Oak Road, Morrisville, where family and friends are invited to call from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. All are welcome to a luncheon following the Mass. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bill’s name may be made to Villalobos Rescue Center at www.vrcpitbull.com or the National Emphysema Foundation at www.emphysemafoundation.org
