What is the Parish Mass Schedule?

Sunday Vigil Mass:  Saturday 4:00 PM

Sunday:  7:30, 9:30 and 11:30 AM

Daily Mass: 8:00 AM 

Holy Day Vigil Mass: 5:30 PM.

Holy Day Masses: 8:00 AM; 7:00 PM

When is the Sacrament of Penance (Confession) available?

Saturday: 2:45-3:35 PM

Tuesday: 8:30-9:00 AM

How do I register in the Parish?

Anyone wishing to join the parish should come to the rectory to and complete a confidential census report.  At that time you will be provided with a Welcome Booklet with information about Saint John the Evangelist Parish and the many services and activities of the parish.  The Parish Pastoral Office is open Monday to Friday between 9:00 PM to 5:00 PM

From the East: Take 195 West (Trenton) to 29 North. Exit is on left (Trenton tunnel). After exiting tunnel, pass second light and exit on right at Route 1 (Morrisville). Proceed beyond 50 cent toll and take the third exit (right), Rt. 13, Yardley. At second light (Big Oak Rd.), turn left. St. John the Evangelist School is located just before the next street light (Makefield Rd.), on the right side of the street.
Summary: 195 West-29 North- left exit, 2+ lights-right-Route 1, 3 exits right, 2 lights left, +right

From the North: Take I-95 South to Route1 exit. Exit Route 1 at Oxford Valley. At light, turn left (Morrisville). Proceed to the second light (Big Oak Rd.). Turn right and proceed beyond the third traffic light (Makefield Rd.) to find St. John the Evangelist School located on your left.
Summary: 95 South-Route 1-Oxford Valley, 1 light left, 2 lights right, 3+lights left

From the South: Take I-95 North to exit 46A, Route 1 (Sesame Place). Exit Route 1 at Oxford Valley. At light turn left (Morrisville). Proceed to the 2nd light (Big Oak Rd.). Turn right and proceed to the third traffic light (Makefield Rd.)

From Newtown Bypass: Go to STONY HILL ROAD (Shady Brook Farm) and turn RIGHT. Follow to the first light and turn LEFT (still STONY HILL ROAD). Follow past Giant Super Market, past RR Track, and up the hill to BIG OAK ROAD. Turn LEFT onto BIG OAK ROAD. Follow past Makefield Road and turn LEFT into the SJE Complex.
Summary: Stony Hill Road to Big Oak Road left,1+light left.

How can I obtain a Mass Card?

Mass Cards are available at the Parish Pastoral Office during regular workings hours of 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

When are baptisms celebrated? How do I schedule a baptism?

Baptisms are celebrated on the first and third Sundays of each month in the Church at 1:00 PM.  Parents should contact the Parish Pastoral Offices to schedule a date for the baptism. Parents are also required to attend the Pre-Jordan class that occurs on the second Sunday of the month at 1:00 PM in the Parish Office Building; please call the Parish Pastoral Office to register for this program. Godparents are required to submit eligibility forms available from their local parish.  These forms must be submitted at least two weeks in advance of the scheduled Baptism.

How do I get a Godparent or Sponsor Eligibility form (letter)?

In order to be eligible to be a Godparent (for baptism) or Sponsor (for Confirmation) the registered parishioner must attest to meeting the following requirements: he/she is at least sixteen years of age; has been fully initiated in the Catholic faith (have received the sacraments of Baptism, First Holy Communion and Confirmation); attends Mass regularly on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation; and if married, was married in the Catholic Church or with the approval of the Catholic Church. A parent is not eligible to be the Godparent of one of their own children. Please stop by the Parish Pastoral Office to complete the Sponsorship Eligibility Form.

How do I obtain a copy of sacramental certificate(s)?

If you were baptized, confirmed or received First Holy Communion at Saint John the Evangelist Parish you can call the Parish Pastoral Office (215-295-4102) to have a certificate prepared. If you received the sacraments in another parish, that parish would have the certificates available.
