Concetta Sancinito

 

Concetta “Connie” Sancinito, 96, of Falls Township, PA died peacefully on Friday September 29, 2023 at her home.

Born and raised in Pittston, PA, a daughter of the late Santo and Rose Anzalone Sperazza. Her father’s death, occurring when she was 8 years old, greatly impacted her life creating the strong, family oriented person we all loved.

Connie has resided in Lower Bucks County since 1953. In 1955 she and her late husband Dick became original owners in the Pennsbury Heights development where Connie resided surrounded by many friends until her death. She was a founding member and devoted parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church. Connie had a wonderfully happy family life; she loved to read, visit art museums, and travel whenever she could.

Connie also had a varied and interesting career in nursing. She was a graduate of the Pittston (PA) School of Nursing and served in World War II as an Army Cadet Nurse for three years. After her service, she was on the nursing staff at Helene Fuld Hospital, now Capital Health Regional, for many years. Much later she seized the opportunity to return to college, earning a B.S. in Nursing from Stockton State University. This led to her career as an Instructor for Licensed Practical Nursing students at Bucks County Technical School. Here she made lifelong friends with whom she traveled the world.

Connie was the wife of the late Richard (Dick) Sancinito and their relationship was a love story of decades. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Louis and Susan Sancinito of Trenton, NJ; and her daughter and son-in-law, Lucylle (Lucy) and Tom Walter of Ewing Twp., NJ. Her heart and soul belonged to her four grandchildren and their partners, Melanie Walter and her husband Graham Richardson, Jane Sancinito, Richard Walter and his fiancée, Tiffany Schmidt, and Samantha Walter. She delighted in her one great granddaughter, Astrid Richardson. Her two sisters, Rose Pagnani of Lower Makefield Twp., PA, and Angela MacMath of Bound Brook, NJ . two sisters-in-law, Stella Troxell, and Dolores (Raymond) Sullivan; brother-in-law, Bruno Romagnoli; two goddaughters, Kathy and Maria, and many nieces and nephews cherish her memory.

She was predeceased by her late sisters-in-law, Frances Romagnoli, Angie Sancinito and Rose Sancinito, and late brothers-in-law, Sam Pagnani, Don MacMath, Joseph Sancinito, Charles Sancinito, and Harold Troxell.

Calling hours will be from 5:30pm to 7:30pm on Thursday, October 5, 2023 and 9:00am to 10:00am Friday, October 6, 2023 at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home, 17 S. Delaware Avenue (River Road), Yardley, PA. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am on Friday October 6, 2023 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 752 Big Oak Road, Morrisville, PA.
