Thomas Richard Brunner, 73, of Yardley, PA, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2024. Born in Allentown, PA, he was a son of the late Joseph Brunner and Anna Laubach (Vanin), and stepson of Blaine Laubach. He was the husband of the late Denise (Bastianello) Brunner. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Morrisville, PA, where he was active in the bereavement ministry. Thomas loved spending time with his family and traveling, having recently completed a pilgrimage to Ireland with his son. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed scent training his dog, Gravy. Tom graduated from Dieruff High School, Class of 1969. He went on to graduate from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Class of 1973. He completed a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, Class of 1977. He went on to spend most of his career as a manager and executive in the pharmaceutical industry before retiring in 2017. Tom is survived by his three sons, Matthew Brunner, husband of Jessica, Greg Brunner, husband of Elizabeth, and Father Stephen Brunner; his two brothers, Alvin Brunner and James Brunner; his eight grandchildren, Miriam, Gemma, Cecilia, Vivian, Leo, Felicity, Constantine, and Anna Rose; and many other relatives and friends. The funeral mass will be celebrated by Tom’s son, Father Stephen Brunner, on Monday, November 18, 2024, at 10:30am at St. John the Evangelist Church 752 Big Oak Road Morrisville, PA 19067. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery 1215 Super Highway Langhorne, PA 19047. Visitation for family and friends will be from 9:30am to 10:30am at the church.
