Maureen J. Rudolph of Lower Makefield Township, passed away peacefully at Chandler Hall, Newtown, Monday Jan. 23, 2017. She was 91.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph F. Rudolph, and her cousin and life-long friend, Kathleen Burke. She is survived by her son, Tim, and her daughter Joan Lurie; her son-in-law, David Lurie; and granddaughters, Sarah and Rebecca Lurie.
Maureen was born and raised in Queens, N.Y. Besides being a housewife and mother, Maureen went back to school in her 40’s at Queensborough Community College and graduated as an RN. She worked for St. Mary Medical Center when it first opened, Temple Health System, Pennsbury Schools, and Sisters of the Grey Nuns until her retirement. She had been an active member of St. John the Evangelist Parish.
Friends and family are invited to call from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at St. John the Evangelist Church, 752 Big Oak Road, Morrisville, followed by her 11 a.m. Funeral Mass. Burial will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Church.
