Hilda M. Carman (Galich), 91 of Morrisville, PA passed away on May 21,2024.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, she has been a lifelong area resident. Hilda devoted her life to her children after leaving her position as an Executive Secretary at Metropolitan Life in NYC when her first child was born. She held various part-time positions with John Wanamaker- Langhorne, PA and Pennsbury School District as a recess monitor at Edgewood Elementary School and volunteered with the Cub Scouts as a Den Mother.
As a member of the Lower Makefield Women’s Club, she dedicated herself to contributing to the community and helped local charities with many fundraisers. This also led to Hilda forming friendships outside of the club taking turns at each other’s homes playing Canasta. Traveling, square dancing, hosting parties and spending time with friends are just some of the ways Hilda and Warner enjoyed their life of 70 years.
As an individual, Hilda enjoyed many hobbies and considered some of them to be therapeutic such as gardening, sewing, ceramics and baking (especially her cheesecakes, cream puffs and pizzelles). Her greatest joy was spending time and playing boardgames, charades, croquet and mini golf with her children and grandchildren.
Daughter of the late Mario and Martina (Santiago) Galich and sister Elsie Mendiguchia. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 70 years, Warner T. Carman.
She is survived by her children, Linda Carman of Windermere, FL, Scott Carman and his wife Lisa of Fairless Hills, PA, her grandchildren, Nicole Leidich and her husband Jason, Kandece Carman, Bryan Halista and his fiancé Consuelo, Neil Halista, Darryn Carman and his wife Mollye.
