On March 19, 2025, at the age of 81, John Regis Rusnak Jr. peacefully passed away with his family by his side. Born in McKeesport, PA, Jack was preceded in death by his parents, John R. Rusnak Sr. and Susan Kaminsky of Yardley, PA. He was blessed to have his loving wife of 61 years, Melissa Ann (Harris), by his side, along with their two sons, John R. Rusnak III (Cindy) and James M. Rusnak (Tracy).
Jack was deeply loved by his five grandchildren: Matthew, Alyssa (Tony), Mark (Caitlin), Zachary, and Jenna, as well as his nine great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by his loving sister, Theresa McCullough, and his three nephews.
Throughout much of his career, Jack worked at the steel mill until his retirement when it closed. He had a passion for the lottery and enjoyed visiting the casino. One of his greatest joys was traveling with his wife and children, and he continued this tradition with his grandchildren.
Known for his exceptional carpentry skills, Jack was a true “Master of Woodwork” and had a natural talent for mathematics—he was a genius with numbers. Whether tinkering or fixing things around the house, he could repair anything with ease. Jack’s love for his family and his generous, giving nature will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed, but the wonderful memories he leaves behind will live on in the hearts of his loved ones forever.
The funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at 10:30am at St. John the Evangelist Church 752 Big Oak Road Morrisville, PA 19067. Interment will follow the mass at the Newtown Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home 17 S. Delaware Avenue Yardley, PA 19067, and again on Tuesday morning from 9:30am to 10:15am at the church.
