James Dominic Ferrero
It is with great sadness to announce the passing of James Dominic Ferrero Sr. of Yardley, PA. Jim passed on December 2, 2022, at the age of 87 surrounded by his loving family. He lived a beautiful life, and his family was everything to him. Jim was predeceased by his mother, Mary, his father, Dominic, and his sisters, Rose Ferrero and Anne Marie Marchitelli. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Mary Ferrero, his four children, Karen Tracy, Renee Bernardino (Bob Bernardino), James Ferrero Jr. (Lyn Ferrero), and David Ferrero; his twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Jim was born in Avonmore, PA on September 24, 1935. He spent most of his adult life in Philadelphia, PA. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University with an engineering degree and had a long, successful career. Jim spent 35 years at Elliott Group based in Jeannette, PA. Following his time with Elliott Group, he and his eldest son Jim Jr. proudly founded Systems Sales Associates, a medical sales company in Langhorne, PA.
Jim was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and lover of golf. You would often find him with a beer in hand enjoying football Sundays with his family or playing golf with his friends. He enjoyed spending time in Sea Isle City, his second home and place of gathering for his family. Jim loved to go out dancing with his wife Mary and continued to do so throughout his life. Above all, Jim loved nothing more than being with his family. Those who loved him will miss his contagious smile, sense of humor, and loving energy.
Jim was extremely generous, and he was proud to give back to his community and those in need.
Viewing services will be held from 6pm to 8pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, on Wednesday December 7, 2022. Mass will be held the following morning, Thursday, December 8, 2022, at 10:30am at St. John the Evangelist Church, 752 Big Oak Rd, Morrisville, PA 19067, followed by interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem. There will be no calling hours on Thursday morning.
