Merriam S. Brelsford of Falls Township, PA passed away on July 23, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her loving family, after a year-long battle with cholangiocarcinoma. Merriam was a resident of Morrisville, Falls Township for the past 50 years, relocating from Lynbrook, NY, after her marriage to Dave.
Daughter of the late George and Pauline Satterlee of Lynbrook, NY, and wife of the late Warren “Dave” Brelsford, she is survived by her two children Paula “Pam” Brelsford-Hocker and her husband, John of Warminster, and Warren “Ren” Brelsford, Jr. and his wife Andrea of Morrisville. She was the proud grandmother of her jewels Briana, Gabrielle and Christopher Hocker, and Patrick and Evan Brelsford, as well as her cousin Nancy McLean, sister-in-law Judith Brelsford, and nephews and great-nieces.
Merriam was a graduate of Kaupert Business Institute, NYC. She was a firm believer of ecumenical volunteerism that has been passed down to her family. Her numerous projects benefitted many people in churches, schools and the community. She was President Emeritus of the Del. Valley Chapter of Deborah, member of the advisory board of Chapter and Volunteer Activities of Deborah Hospital Foundation and the recipient of many awards, among them Lower Bucks County Brotherhood Award, Woman of the Year and Chapel of the Four Chaplains.
Relatives and friends may call on Monday, July 30, 2018 from 10—11:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 752 Big Oak Rd., Morrisville, PA 19067. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated thereafter at 11:30 AM, followed by interment at Holy Trinity Cemetery, River Rd., Yardley, PA.
