Need some unique Christmas gifts? Want to support crafts people from around the world who are working hard to become self-sustaining? Like to purchase Fair Trade Coffee and other consumable products? Come to the Parish Christmas Bazaar on December 9 from 10:00 to 3:00 for one-of-a-kind items. The Catholic Relief Service (CRS) in Action Committee will have an Ethical Trade Sale table at the Bazaar. There will be lots of selection, including holiday decor, household items, jewelry, unique scarves, “Share the Journey” socks, soaps, spices and coffee. Why buy Ethical Trade goods through CRS? CRS thoroughly reviews merchants and their merchandise to be sure that products are well-made and are made in a responsible way. This includes fair pricing, safe working conditions and environmentally sustainable practices. Marketing these products primarily provides support for people from Uganda to Jerusalem and the West Bank to India to Vietnam to Peru. A small portion of the profits also supports the work of CRS countries around the world, as well as in our own Parish. So come shopping with us on December 9, and use your Christmas gift giving to make the world just a little better place.
