Sam spent many years in the shoe business where he earned the nickname, “Shoe Man Sam.” He went on to work for the State of New Jersey as a security guard. His role as essential personnel was guarding the War Memorial with his trusty whistle. He retired at the young age of 78.
He enjoyed a good meal, especially at Italian Mens’ Night, where he loved a good martini and a glass of fine wine, but a takeout meal never went to waste!
Sam and Jean traveled hand in hand from Italy to Aruba to Atlantic City and many points in between.
Sam had a one-of-a-kind sense of humor. He could tell a joke to a room full of grandkids, to a dinner table of grumpy old men… or to anyone who would listen!
