Raymond John Amato

Raymond John Amato of Philadelphia, PA, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2019, at the age of 49. Born in Philadelphia, Ray was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. He obtained his undergraduate and MBA degrees at Rider University where was a proud member of the Theta Chi Fraternity. Ray was currently in the process of pursuing his Ph.D. through Walden University. One of his greatest accomplishments was being a proud member of Mensa.

Ray is survived by his loving parents, Raymond J. Amato and Regina (Kitzinger) and her husband Sam Bria, and his siblings, Christian (Lynn) Amato, Jeana (Gordon) Amato-Foster, Michael (Rita) Bria, John (Lisa) Bria, Kenneth (Kris) Bria, Leslie (Nick) Bria-Crocker, and Corinne Amato. He is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews, his godparents, Bernie and Jean Kitzinger, and several aunts and uncles.

Family and friends are invited to Ray’s Life Celebration on Thursday, February 7, from 6 PM – 8 PM, at the Beck Givnish Life Celebration Home, 7400 New Falls Rd., Levittown, PA 19055, then again on Friday, February 8, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 752 Big Oak Rd., Morrisville, PA 19067 from 10 AM – 11 AM, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Newtown Cemetery.
