Save the Date for Designer Handbag Bingo

On Friday, April 1st from 7-10 pm, St. John’s Youth Ministry will be hosting our 2nd Annual Designer Bag Bingo featuring bags from Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Coach, and others! All proceeds from the event support our Youth Ministry and the teens traveling to Steubenville, El Salvador, and World Youth Day 2016. Now is the time to mark it on your calendars and get your group together! Tables of 8 or more can be reserved for the event. The cost to attend is $30 per person in advance or $35 the day of the event. More information will be sent out in the coming weeks. In addition to the beautiful handbags, we put together an assortment of raffle baskets for the Bingo event. We are in need of any new items that could be used for these baskets. If you have extra Christmas gifts, we would gladly accept them for the baskets. We are looking for gift cards to local businesses, household items, electronics, tickets to local events or sports teams, candles, wine glasses, handmade items, and anything else you’d be interested in donating to the Youth Ministry. Thank you for your support! You can contact Maria Parker about making a donation or dropping items off at the Parish Office for the Youth Ministry.

Bring your friends and neighbors and enjoy this opportunity to spend time together! Contact Tom Burke at TFBurkejr@gmail.com for more information and to be involved. Any money raised will go towards the Youth Ministry program and the youth to travel to Steubenville, World Youth Day, and El Salvador.

Steubenville 2016

Our group is forming and planning for the 2016 Steubenville Conference at the Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio this summer. The theme is “Thirst” and draws from the scripture passage from Romans 5:8 which reads, “But God proves his love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.” The Conference is a dynamic opportunity to grow in relationship with God and others and then bring that back here to our parish family. We will be traveling to Steubenville from June 24-27, 2016 and visiting Hershey Park on the way home. The trip is open to all youth who are graduating 8th grade through high school this year. If you are interested in joining our group, please contact Maria for a permission form and more information. We would love to have you join us!

High School Volleyball

If you are in 9th-12th grade and would like to play in the Youth Ministry Volleyball League, fill out a registration form and join us on Sunday, March 6th from 6-7pm for the first group practice. All teens are welcome to join us for this league! We compete against local parish teams in Bucks County and practice on Sundays. The games begin after Easter and finish before Memorial Day. Our teens who play in the league have a lot of fun and really enjoy the friendly competition.
