Here are the Notes for the next two weeks:

1. The 2nd JR. CYO retreat team meeting will be held THIS SUNDAY at St. Johns from 3 to 5pm! If you want to be on the retreat team, come join US! It is NOT too late!. Remember, the retreat is only a couple weeks away on FEB 18th.

2  . Mount 2000 is still taking registrations. Email me if you want to attend. We are looking to take about 25 people on this trip. It is a great weekend to get away and have fun! If you want to go I need to know by JAN 22nd. Open to all High School teens. The bus will leave from St. John’s on Feb 10th and return on the 12th.  Cost is 135.00 (financial aid is available)

3. THE MARCH FOR LIFE will be held on Jan 23rd. All teens are welcome to come with us on the St. John’s BUS. We have about 10 people on our trip and we are looking to fill it up! WE will be leaving at 6AM and returning about 8pm. Maybe you think that is early, but the sacrifice is worth it to stand up for life!

4. The SR. HIGH YOUTH GROUP will meet this Sunday night at 7:15pm @ ST. JOHNS CONVENT. We will be eating good food and discussing the ” I love Jesus and Religion Videos”, plus taking a little trip to the chapel for some Adoration with Deacon Tim.Come join us!!!
5. Jr. CYO had a busy Jan 14th. We went to paint and help cleanup at Cornerstone Christian Academy in Philadelphia. That evening, we had our 2nd dance of the year. It was good fun ( I even threw in a rap). Stay tuned for our next event, SOUPER BOWL OF CARING. It will be held the weekend of Feb 4th-5th. We will be collecting canned goods at all the weekend Masses, and decorating the Deacon Jim room Sunday morning in Super Bowl regalia for the Bakery Basket. Email Kim if you can assist.
6. . ST JOHN/ST.IGNATIUS  SR. HIGH YOUTH GROUP VOLLEYBALL league looks to start up ! Our 1st open gym will be held on Feb 27th at SJE!  Click here for the registration form! OPEN TO ALL HIGH SCHOOL TEENS.

7. STEUBENVILLE 2012 is CONFIRMED. We will be heading to the conference on the weekend of June 22nd-25th. It is open to all 8th-12th graders. Perhaps you have heard of it, or perhaps not. But it is an incredibly fun weekend full of speakers, music, adoration, Mass, honesty, fun, and a road trip!! I promise you, if you are a teen or know a teen, you want to go on this retreat at least once. You will definately want to go back……

8. SERVICE SATURDAY. St. Ignatius and St. John Youth group will be heading over to St. Mary Soup Kitchen on Jan 28th. We will be meeting up in St. Ignatius Church parking lot at 10:30am and heading over. We will look to return about 1:45pm. Hope you can come! Email meby Jan 26th if you think you can make it!

9. JR. CYO Volleyball- I have some interest for some Jr. High Volleyball. I’d like to have an open gym night in March. Sound interesting? Let me know 

10. Planning Items: World Youth Day 2013 is a great event that will be held in Rio De Janiero with Pope Benedict and over 1,000,000 young Catholics from around the world. I am looking to gauge interest for this event this spring. Check this video out and pray about if you would be interested.
